FigureS of the month
For those who prefer colorful statesmen... what about one of these fellows? Left is Franklin, from the famous Thomas Parr, c1860. Center, a titled Franklin with underglaze blue jacket, and right is Washington in black jacket with pink breeches. All an impressive 15 inches plus.
Dogs with baskets in their mouths are rare and eagerly sought after which makes them expensive! See my latest blog post for more examples.
Left we have a figure of Benjamin Franklin titled as Washington. Center, we have Thomas Jefferson, as himself. Right is George Washington's head, on Franklin's body! The Perfect Example of how frugal and resourceful these Staffordshire potters were. They would use a mould over and over and over again, change the head or add a different title and Voila! a new figure for sale. If you'd like to add this rare and stately trio to your mantelpiece, get in touch!
These greyhounds are a foot tall and make quite a statement! Beautifully modelled by Thomas Parr c1860, they come in shades of grey, rust and taupe.
Lent begins on March 2nd, so this Temperance figure might help you decide which way to go!
Titled one side GIN and the other WATER. Just under 9" tall.

How about a willow cruet set? The perfect way to liven up your table. Or perhaps some colorful carpet balls, or these pretty dogs with flowers.
Happy 200th birthday, queen Victoria, born May 24th 1819!
The Staffordshire potteries made over 200 figures of Queen Victoria and her family. So why not collect your own Royal Flush! Contact Elinor if you'd like to see more Royal figures from her unrivalled stock.

One of my all time favorite figures, this colorful figure titled "Beg Sir" is 5 1/4 inches tall and circa 1850. In his A-Z book Clive Pope says the little pup is a Maltese. $2500.
